2014-08-14 08:30:08 I have never met Stella Paul in person. But I have read her write ups and her twits and they have kindled a light in me - to do something for my own country. I am especially inspired by the articles of Stella on food and nutrition needs of women and how Gender Equality starts with Food Equality for women and men. I remember crying after reading one of her posts in World Pulse where she described how young, pregnant women in India suppressed hunger and waited for their husbands finished eating because men always get the lion's share of the food. Those women end up having anemia! We need - this world needs - advocates like Stella who can make us notice the most unnoticed inequalities in our society, especially in the nutrition and health sector.
