COVID-19 INFLUENCERS

Primary Healthcare efforts towards COVID-19 mitigation were hampered by the negative ripple effects of misinformation and disinformation, especially via social media and this affected health promotion efforts such as COVID-19 vaccination; where to date, some countries, especially developing countries have low COVID-19 vaccination coverage due to the negative information of vaccination side effects. Another less-spoken topic was how death was communicated as the main negative outcome of COVID-19, with limited information being shared on the effects of long COVID.
