Social media during pandemic has played a key role in not only spreading verified information, understanding the virus better but also has enabled peer support groups to be formed. As a long covid patient advocate, i have used social media to not only raise awareness about the virus and how it spreads but also to bring together those of us with lasting, disabling effects of covid. this has helped us advocate together on long covid in India. I am also using social media to push for more media coverage on long covid in India & also ensuring that patient voices are centred in research around this topic.
