Foglabenchi Lily Haritu is a passionate and committed sexual and reproductive health and rights practitioner with over five years of community-based experience in women’s health, gender mainstreaming, health-system strengthening and youth leadership in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. She currently serves as the pioneer manager for the CDC-PEPFAR Family Planning/HIV integration project implemented by the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services. She is also a part-time implementation consultant for the Ministry of Health GAVI-HPV Technical Working Group in Cameroon, where she serves in the strategic planning, communication and community mobilization team. Beyond her in-country work schedule, Lily volunteers in international networks like Moremi Initiative where she is Spokesperson for Women's Health and Safety and the Commonwealth Youth Council where she is the Ambassador for MYWorld survey. She is a recipient of the Ministry of Public Health recognition for her outstanding commitment and excellent contribution to the promotion of women 's Sexual and Reproductive Health in rural Cameroon. She is also a US Department of State Women in Public Service Honoree, Africa regional finalist for the Commonwealth Youth Development Award, ASRC Sexuality Leadership Development Fellow and recipient of the Moremi Leadership award for demonstrating outstanding leadership promise, community service accomplishments, and commitment to the advancement of women in Africa. As an emerging global health researcher, Lily is keen on generating, synthesising and translating policy-relevant research into interventions that shape public policy, strengthen health systems and promote women's access to sexual and reproductive health information and services. She is a 2012 British Government Chevening Scholar who holds a Master of Science degree in International Public Health (with merit) and a supplementary post-graduate diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, England. Lily also holds a Global Health Certificate in gender, sexual and reproductive health from the Global Health e-Learning Centre administered by USAID & Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, USA.
